So I Wore My Stretchy Pants

Last night my husband surprised me by taking us on a spontaneous trip to my favorite restaurant.
One thing I love about Waco is that it’s a small cozy city but it’s close enough to the big cities that we can spend an evening on the town in Ft. Worth, Dallas or Austin.
We drove to Ft. Worth and ate at Texas de Brazil. If you’ve not eaten at Texas de Brazil, check out their web site and start planning a trip. The food is glorious and never ending. That’s right, it’s a high end buffet. They have an amazing salad bar with things like steamed asaparagus with fresh strawberry sauce, buffalo mozzarella, smoked salmon, grilled portabello mushrooms, sushi and a myriad of other tasty foods.
After you’ve had your fill of the salad bar you sit at your table and turn your little round card over to the green side. “Gouchos” walk by with large skewers of meat; bacon wrapped filet mignon, garlic sirloin, leg of lamb, and their house specialty garlic piquana. They have amazing sauces and delicious desserts.
The beauty of it all was that children 6 and under are complimentary, so we brought our girls with us and they had a blast. They loved the steak and even the horseradish sauce (weird, I know).
I was in my pregnant glory at Texas de Brazil. It was so good. We all had a wonderful time and ate way too much...that’s why I wore my stretchy pants.
(There was a low point in the evening which I’ll post about later today...after I recover.)
